You might want a display cabinet for your miniatures. You can paint them and then put them in the cupboard.
I have put together a list of display cabinets, cases, and shelves for people looking to buy one. I found myself needing one, so I shared my research with others.
Miniatures Display Cabinet List
This list will be in alphabetical order of the company. If I missed one that you think is good, please let me know in the comments. I would love to add it to this list.

Chessex
OK, so this one is for fun. Chessex has a single case that you can buy. Actually, they have a couple of different instances for single miniatures.
If you play games, this board is 1.5in x 1.5in x 2.75 inches in size, and it is excellent for people who play games that are 28mm scale or more minor.
This price is meager. I want to buy some of these.
This single miniature case is for someone who paints models for art. I found it while I was looking around and thought it was too cool not to share.
Bonus Tip
The case that these dice come in is very similar to the one above.
If you buy a single miniature case, it is cheaper. But maybe you already have a case that you can use.
Coaster Home Furnishings
Now, Coaster Home Furnishings has a few display cabinets. Here is the smallest one.
3-Shelf Glass Curio
This is a cabinet with 3 shelves. It’s made of glass and is pretty cool-looking. It’s smaller than most cabinets, but it’s still pretty big.
This is a small display cabinet. It might be expensive, but it is good and will last a long time. Ikea has cheaper cabinets. Some people think the other one looks better, though.
If you have a little money, why not spend it?
4-Shelf & 5-Shelf
The 3-shelf, 4-shelf, and 5-shelf cabinets all look the same. They are all from Coaster Home Furnishings.
Basically, each cabinet is more significant than the last. The 4-shelf cabinet is the same size as the 3-shelf one, but it is taller. The 5-shelf cabinet is 8 inches wider than both and a little taller.
The 4-shelf cabinet and 5-shelf cabinet are made the same way. They are both excellent options. It is a question of how much you want to spend on your shelves and how much space you have in your room.
Convenience Concepts
Do not put this display case in place with small children or pets.
The open design is nice and new.
This case is 15.8 inches long, 11.8 inches wide, and 62 inches tall. It has 5 shelves on the inside, including the top shelf. You will be able to fit a lot of things into it!
This display case is perfect because the price is meager. It’s one of the best cases for storage to cost ratio here.
Crystal Fortress
Crystal Fortress has different offerings. I talked about them before in my article about miniature magnetic cases. But they are also suitable for this too.
Crystal Fortress has display cases that are made for gaming. They can be used to show off your miniatures and take them places.
The other very cool feature of the Crystal Fortress setup is that it makes for a modular display case, so you can make the exact display case you need. You can also add to it if needed.
Ikea
Ikea is a store you should go to if you live by yourself and don’t have a partner. If you do, it’s not so good because the store doesn’t have many things for couples.
Anyways, Ikea has two good options for miniatures display cabinets. Especially if you are after a Warhammer or Age of Sigmar display case.
Of course, you can put anything in these cases. They are big and perfect if you have a vast collection. That is why we call them “the game.”
Detolf
Anyway, there is a popular type of shelf many people use. Many collectors and wargamers use it. It’s called the Detolf.
This is a glass cabinet. It is excellent to look at, and it measures 16-3/4 x 14-3/8 x 64-1/8 inches. That’s about 5 feet tall.
This case has 3 shelves for your miniatures. That makes 4 places to show them.
This is a classic-looking display case for around the same price as most.
You can’t go wrong with this one, in my opinion.
If you’re thinking of purchasing a Detolf or have one already, the A-Space is worth looking at. It includes an additional shelf for your Detolf.
Ikee Design
Ikee Design has an excellent-looking acrylic display box that is quite affordable. It’s not to be confused with Ikea, by the way.
The dimensions of the Tinkerkraft 10-7/8 x 2-7/8 x 2-1/2 in size. That’s small enough to sit on your hobby workstation if you want it to.
Of course, you may also attach it to the wall since this is most likely safer than on your hobby desk.
Since this is a 4-tier case, you can fit a lot in it despite its smaller size. Still, it’s better for smaller collections, such as those from skirmish games or simply to flaunt a few favorites.
Finally, this item has excellent Amazon ratings. This appears to be a fantastic tiny storage box based on the positive reviews and low price.
Only Garment Racks
A strange name for a firm that also offers a miniatures display cabinet…but anyway.
In terms of price, this is the most expensive alternative. This is a great-looking display case that you can place on a shelf to showcase a few items fully. I adore the appearance of this case.
The size is decent, given that it’s made of hard plastic. It has two shelves and a lock, too. The case is 24 x 12 x 18 inches in size, making it quite big for its type.
Again, a bit more for the serious collector but worth showing.
Only Hangers
The magnifying glass is the same as the previous little display cabinet, but it’s made of silver metal rather than black. It’s identical in size and has a locking door, too.
I figured I’d show it since you don’t like the black look.
Plymor
I admit this is more for a showpiece than a miniature display cabinet. But it looks nice.
Plymor provides a stunning-looking glass display dome. Although it is walnut-colored, it is, in fact, MDF. It’s pretty believable, though. The low price is due to the use of MDF instead of plywood.
In reality, you may select from some designs for the base, including black acrylic and walnut MDF. You should be able to discover something that fits your requirements.
This is a piece of paper 1.75 inches wide and 2.6 inches long. It’s not very big, but it’s just the right size for a 28mm figure.
To top it off, this is a very well-reviewed product, and the price is incredible for how great this looks.
Conclusion
I’m confident you found something useful on the list. I was a little taken aback by how difficult it was to discover miniatures display cabinets and cases worth looking at. However, I did find some others that I didn’t include, but they weren’t well regarded, so I’d instead showcase the ones worth your money.
